At the Marrakech Climate Change Conference – November 2016 (7-18 November), nations of the world will continue their work on strengthening the global response to the threat of climate change, with the central focus placed on enhancing ambition, promoting implementation and providing support.

On the agenda of the first, opening session of the COP22 meeting in Marrakech under the item 2(e) was the Admission of organizations as observers at sessions of the Conference of the Parties.

Milieukontakt Macedonia is officially the first environmental NGO from Macedonia that has been admitted by the Conference of the Parties as an observer organization to the UNFCCC processes, activities and conferences.

This conference is a turning point in the further development of the human civilization because the PCA (Paris Climate Change Agreement) will enter into force during the conference.

At this Conference, countries around the world will also work hard to put in place measures for strengthening appropriate financial flows, a new technology framework and an enhanced capacity building framework as envisioned in the Paris Agreement with a view to supporting action by developing countries and the most vulnerable countries, in line with their own national objectives.
